Russell Teague Joins CBI as SVP | Advisory Services

CBI, a Detroit-based Cyber Security Services company, is pleased to announce and welcome Russell J. Teague as Senior Vice President of Advisory Services. He will be responsible for the leadership of the company’s Cybersecurity Advisory Services business.

Prior to joining the CBI Team, Russell lead the Global Strategic Services business for Mandiant, a FireEye Company. He was responsible for business development and delivery management for Incident Response Services and Technical Assessment Services across the Central US and Latin America. Russell, an expert in cybersecurity, is often requested to speak and share his experience on current cybersecurity attacks and trends.

Russell started his career in the US Army, focused on Electronic Warfare in the late 1980’s. After serving with honors during peace and war time, he joined IBM to form IBM’s Security and Privacy Services Practice under Business Innovation Services. Following a very successful buildout at IBM, Russell assumed a role as Chief Security Officer for PRG Schultz. During his time at PRG, he took on additional responsibilities as SVP of Technology managing the company technology strategy, implementation and security globally. Following PRG, Russell focused on entrepreneur roles in building out several cybersecurity companies; TruSecure, CyberTrust, Arsenal Security, and SRS Consulting.

During Russell’s past 20+ year career, he has supported some of the largest security breaches known and has advised senior executives and board members in dealing with cybersecurity needs globally. At IBM, Russell led a team responsible for security and data protection of the US Olympic Games and the World Cup in Korea and Japan. While at Arsenal, Russell expanded their global footprint into the European market and beyond. While at SRS, Russell led merger and acquisitions in the banking, finance, auto lending and credit financing industries while serving as the Chief Security and Technology Officers to the FDIC, Federal Reserve, OCC and the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions.

Russell has a proven record as a multi-entrepreneur and is an expert in cybersecurity. He is requested to present or assist business leaders on current cybersecurity risk, trends and attacks globally. He excels in the electronic engineering, security architecture design, cybersecurity strategy, and proactive security incident management. Russell has attended Hawaii Pacific University, and Devry University for Information Technology, Information Systems and Business Management.
